Oregon Fishing Club has been providing fishermen in Oregon with private fishing spots for more than 25 years. Our well-stocked, well-maintained properties allow everyone from novice fishermen to pros to enjoy a great day of fishing.
Private Fishing Spots
Oregon Fishing Club maintains 37 private properties throughout Northwest Oregon. These include 20 ponds and lakes and 17 riverfront properties. All of our lakes and ponds are located within an easy two-hour drive from Portland, and most are under an hour away. An Oregon state fishing license is not required to fish at our lakes and ponds, but one a fishing license is required for the rivers. That means it’s easy to have a spontaneous day trip to the lake without much planning!
Our private, serene fishing spots are a fantastic alternative to Oregon’s public fishing places, which are often overcrowded and littered with trash and graffiti. Our properties are well-maintained by the club, with garbage cans and restrooms available at most locations. We’ve also made many of our sites kid-friendly with fishing docks to encourage fishing as an activity the entire family will enjoy.
The club’s ponds and lakes are predominantly “catch and release” waters, although a few of our properties allow fishermen to take home their catches on a limited basis. Because of this and the fact that our ponds and lakes are available to members only, you’ll find that you’re able to catch more fish than you would at public locations.
Types of Fish
Most of the club’s lakes and ponds are routinely stocked with rainbow trout ranging in size from 12 inches to six pounds. Additionally, most of our waters have healthy populations of bass, panfish, and other species. For an idea of the varieties most common at each location, browse our listings for the different sites.
Fly fishing and traditional fishing are two very different activities, but anglers of any school and skill level are welcome to join. Whether you’re a firm believer in the art form of casting a fly or looking for a more relaxed afternoon watching the bobber, you’ll find waters appropriate for your preference.
Everyone from the most experienced fisherman to first-timers will enjoy spending a day on one of Oregon Fishing Club’s lakes, rivers, or ponds. Visit our membership page for more information, or contact us today to sign up!
